May CAL: it's Neila the koala

Well it's that time again! Time to CAL with us on ravelry, and this CAL brings us Neila the little koala... suggested by one of our CAL members, and I couldn't resist! I've never seen a koala in person, but that's never stopped me before ;D
For mine, I decided to paint the hands and feet, and even a little bit of the ears for some added interest... but I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Grab up your free pattern today and join us on ravelry, group name: CALwithDawnToussaint

  4. how do you DCR1 evenly across the row? I've just been decreasing by 1 stitch on the even rows so my first stitch of each round is a decrease then SC in the remaining stitches. Is this correct?

  6. Also, can someone explain what "SC across" means in the ears and nose pieces?

  7. Has anyone had issues with the head on this one? I'm trying to figure out the last row "row 19 to end" and how I get down to 15 stitches...

  8. Is there anyway you could be so kind as to elaborate on the surface crochet embellishments on the neck? I love the look and can't seem to find any tutorial as to how to get it :D I would very much appreciate the help, thank you
