Tiny DPN's

My least favorite thing to do on a project is piece together or seam up... so when I started making my dolls I figured a way to crochet them all in one piece! And now that I'm knitting some sweaters for them I wanted to be able to do the same, and these tiny DPN's(from knitpicks.com) have made it possible. With these I can pick up stitches around these little arm holes and stitch the sleeves right onto the sweater. My dolls get a sweater that fits great and no bulky seams, I love that!

Prete a porte

So I've been thinking about this for a while... how much fun would it be if your weren't limited to one outfit per doll! We're about to find out... Prete a porte is my newest collection. Starting with Bronwen, these will be patterns for dolls with clothes that are removable. Bronwen has a knit sweater, cotton skirt, and crocheted flower topper that are all removable (her slippers are crocheted on). This pattern is now available on etsy, and ravelry too.

Fall palette

Here's a sneak peak at my latest batch... looking around at my dying vegetable garden I'm finding my palette, some very earthy fall colors.

Kitchen Lab

Next to sketching out my ideas... dyeing the yarn is one of my favorite parts of the entire process. Now, with a new batch of "bare" yarn that was just delivered today (and a rainy weekend ahead of me) I'm about to turn my kitchen into a laboratory!

Rebecca

So for the past few months I've been focusing on patterns... and some of you out there have been asking "when are you going to be offering dolls again?" So here's Rebecca! She's in all hand dyed wool, combo of knit and crochet, and her hair and dress are crocheted on. Check her out on ETSY. I can't say how often I will be able to offer finished dolls, but I do hope to offer at least a few more for the holiday season, so if you have any thoughts I'd love to hear them!
Thanks!
