Love seat makeover: modern farmhouse original

When I'm out at the flea markets, estate sales, garage sales... I will inevitably come across some amazing thing, at an amazing price, but that I absolutely do not need. That's when I get out my phone and reach out to family and friends... and that was the case when I came across this fantastic little love seat in a local thrift shop. My mom was the first person that popped into my head, since I knew she had a room to refurnish and wasn't looking to spend a lot. But finding and buying this little treasure was just the beginning, the real story is the awesome transformation it went through to become a one of a kind piece she will enjoy for years!

2016 opener for the Brimfield antique and flea market!

I'm not much of an antique collector, but I love flea markets. If you've read my recent posts you know I'm always searching for some old worn out piece of furniture to restore. But there are so many awesome vintage items out there, that you don't even know what they could be until you find them (and I found a few treasures). In addition to all that, this show featured original art, sculpture, and crafts of really amazing quality! Of course, you can't buy everything... so I took my camera, and I've brought it all back here to you! OK, let's jump into my highlights and photos from the show ;D

Mother's day: free knitting pattern

For Mother's day, I usually try to think of something I can give to my Mom that will be meaningful... not just another object to clutter up her space. The last time I was over at her house, as we hung out in the kitchen drinking coffee, she held up an old looking dishcloth and said "hey, do you think you can make these?" What she was actually holding was a hand knit dish towel that my Grandmother made years ago, before she passed away. This was exactly the gift I was hoping to give her this year!
